When the tide of tears come ashore for you...Run to me
When life is just too hard for living...Run to me
When all around you have given up on you...Run to me
I am your heavenly father
My arms await your soul...your living flesh
Peel away the pain, the torment, the loneliness
And run to me...I am waiting for you
I am waiting to wash away the pain, the guilt, the shame
Learn from my son
Whose mortal body lay wretched on the cross in agony
Your body is hanging on the cross right now
It is time to come down and receive your glory
Wipe off the blood of sin...Take off your thorns of despair
Heal your cuts and bruises, wash them, clean them,
and take care of them with the Holy Spirit
and run to me.
Run with your tattered body...It is time to heal.
Call out my name and I will come to you.
I am the peace, the everlasting life,
I am your will to live.
Your cross can be carried for your glory awaits you
Yes, it is heavy, and yes, it is dirty,
It is a burden to carry that cross through life
But you will know when you can take that cross,
and clean it, and it will shine like the heavens for everyone to see
For that cross I gave to you...for you alone have to carry it
For you alone have to decide when to lay it to rest
