Lonely dreams that haunt the night
while wishes fade with the firelight
Happy hours that fade away
to lonesome thoughts that seem to stay
Seeing no brightness when there is light
Feeling no pain, yet struggling to fight
Deep down inside you run from the dark
You run from the love you feel in your heart.
Longing for something to reach out and hold,
Scared of being young, yet scared of growing old.
Trapped in the midst of lies and regrets,
You are willing to forgive; but never forget.
So many dreams you have let drift away
Now you wish for another chance, another day
These thoughts are of those not able to cope.
Those without dreams,
Those without hope.
