A grain of sand
that drifts out to sea
The parts of life
that were meant to be

A speckle of snow
that falls from the sky
A baby to be born;
a child that will die.

A single cloud
that floats all alone
A tiny bird
that has lost it's way home.

Dreams for the rich
and dreams for the poor
Some people have stars
they do not have wishes for

The cloud up above
you wish to be on
and dream up a world
and never come home.
